This adapter will enable you to use any standard Atari compatible Joystick with the ZX Spectrum +2 or +3.
When Amstrad designed the joystick ports of these machines they changed the wiring so that only Sinclair joysticks would work thus limiting your choice of compatible devices.
This adapter plugs into the +2 or +3 and remaps the port so that any standard joystick with DB9 connector will work.
