This adapter is a must-have for anyone looking to use their Commodore VIC20, C64, 128, 16 or Plus 4 with a C2N Cassette Drive.

Its based on the Mills Associates vintage azimuth head alignment tool.

This product requires you to dismantle your cassette unit and solder 3 wires.
If you intend to mount the device inside your cassette recorder you will also need to cut a rectangular hole for the LEDs. DIY and soldering skills are essential with this product!

The small size makes it possible to mount externally if you don’t need a permanent install.

Using it is very easy. Simply load your cassette based software in the usual way and you will notice the LED bar starts to flash. Then using a small screwdriver (not supplied) insert into the azimuth adjustment hole and gently turn the screw underneath until maximum peaks are reached on the LED meter.

This will be the position of optimal head alignment and will improve your chance of reducing loading errors.
